Towards Harmonised Guidance on Applying Probabalistic Methods to Assess Operator Exposure to Plant Protection Products
This document provides an overview of current regulatory guidance relevant to assessing occupational exposure to agricultural pesticides (plant protection products), as well as regulatory guidance addressing probabilistic exposure assessment. The document also outlines major methodological issues that would likely be raised when attempting to refine occupational exposure assessment through the use of probabilistic methods. The fundamental purpose of this document is to provide a starting point from which experts in probabilistic methods, and experts in occupational exposure assessment, can work together to develop appropriate and internationally harmonised guidance on the use of probabilistic methods to assess occupational exposure to agricultural pesticides.
